Georgia Thunderbolts

Georgia Thunderbolts

Saturday, January 18

THE GEORGIA THUNDERBOLTS hail from the sleepy towns of Rome and Taylorsville, Georgia, where magnolias, cotton and peaches grow. Moonshine flows through the area like the Coosa, Oostanaula and Etowah rivers that wind through the "7 hills" and meet in the once riverboat shipping mecca of the south. A perfect scenario for young boys to dream and create their own unique style of music surrounded by the same environment that spawned Georgia greats James Brown, Otis Redding, and the Allman Brothers band.

Black Stone Cherry

Black Stone Cherry

Saturday, January 18

Family comes first—you can never forget who was there with you from the start. The Edmonton, Kentucky-based rock n’ roll quartet Black Stone Cherry was raised on musical forefathers such as Cream, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, and the Faces, among other 1970s staples, and, now, with its sixth album, Family Tree, BSC salutes its classic rock heritage and honors its legacy with a beast of a Southern rock n’ roll album.

For 17 years, Black Stone Cherry has put forth a new vicious breed of Southern rock, injecting youthful vitality and a myriad of fresh new influences into the beloved American rock tradition. To date, the band has released five critically acclaimed albums, and one well-received blues EP. Black Stone Cherry has also rocked 12,000-cap arena shows, topped the UK charts, and shared the stage with a diverse roster of superstars, including Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Mötorhead, and ZZ Top.

Kentucky Headhunters

Kentucky Headhunters

Saturday, January 18

“The Kentucky Headhunters,” says founding member, guitarist/vocalist Richard Young, “are and always will be in love with playing live. It’s our lifeblood.” The Grammy-winning band—declared “the great American rock ‘n’ roll band” by Billboard—is never more spontaneous and unpredictable as when they are performing live on stage. “We threw away the set list 20 years ago,” says Young, whose brother Fred plays drums, cousin Greg Martin plays guitar and longtime friend Doug Phelps sings and plays bass. Although the Southern rock, blues and country band has been recording and touring together for over 30 years (and making music together for over 50 years), they had never, until 2016, performed overseas. That year, Richard—a notoriously uneasy flier—let his son John Fred (drummer for rising star rock group Black Stone Cherry) talk him into bringing The Kentucky Headhunters to Europe. A tour of Sweden and the United Kingdom was booked, and the band was on its way to earning a whole new audience for their raucous and rowdy music.

Confederate Railroad

Confederate Railroad

Sunday, January 19

Confederate Railroad first rolled onto the national country music scene in the early 90s with its unique style and sound.

RHeaded by founder and frontman Danny Shirley, the former backup band for both David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck got their big break by signing with Atlantic Records. The first single from their debut album ("Confederate Railroad") was "She Took It Like A Man". It went to No. 26, a preview of what was to come. "The next two singles, "Jesus and Mama" and "Queen of Memphis" went to the top of the charts. Three more huge hits followed, "Trashy Women", "When You Leave That Way You Can Never Go Back", and "She Never Cried". "Trashy" would lead to a Grammy nomination and become their signature song. That album with six hits and nearly three million sales brought Confederate the Academy of Country Music's Best New Group Award in 1993 as well as numerous nominations from the Country Music Association and the British Country Music Foundation.;
